It was a wonderfully sunny day down in Betteshanger as the U7 Colts made the long drive to Deal for the 2nd time in 2 weeks.
Following a league game there last week, this week the team where back to compete at Betteshanger social club ground in their first ever tournament in the Faversham & District Youth Football League. The team played group games against teams from their own and higher divisions but played incredibly well and were competitive in every match. The coaches were very please how the Harriers held their shape and passed the ball around with great vision and the way the team have progressed since the start of the month is fantastic and testament to the childrens hard work and desire to learn and improve.
In the plate semi finals the Harriers were evenly matched ending their match 0-0, leading to a penalty shootout. After the scores being even after the 3 nominated kickers stepped up, we went round again in sudden death! Harriers were unfortunate to lose the shootout but all went home with beaming smiles from the experience.
