On a brisk morning at Herne HQ the Harrier's were back in action on a sun kissed pitch. With there form being very good, they were looking to extend there 4 match winning run.

The first action of the game came in the 5th minute. The goalkeeper of Ramsgate kicked the ball out from a goal kick, which led to a mix up at the back, Zeb knocked the ball and took two strides forward before thumping a finish beyond the despairing dive of the keeper.

Within a minute Ramsgate served a warning of their own. No.6, who ended up being a real handful afternoon, turnt and hit a looping shot which went into the grateful arms of Josh in goal. The game settled down for the next ten minutes, but then a lay off by Adam to Zeb, who then back heeled to Kyle, he hit a shot which the keeper spilled and Joe and Josh I were just onto the scene a split second too late. It was lovely football nonetheless.

Twenty minutes in and number 6 for Ramsgate was causing problems, his shot on the turn produced a great save by Josh with the follow up looking all but certain to go in, but a miraculous double save by Josh was then cleared out for a corner with a great last ditch tackle by Kyle made close to the goalline. Within five minutes though the Harriers had doubled their lead, a corner was cleared back to Zeb who knocked the ball inside to Archie R, who then knocked it on one more time to Kyle on the left hand side, just outside the box, he took a touch, and cracked the ball across the goalkeeper and into the bottom right hand corner. It was a belter and worthy of a big celebration. A few minutes later and the Junior's almost had their third, Zebby's corner finding the head of Joe who's header was headed off the line.

The second half started with some pressure on the Harrier's defence, after a few good saves by Josh and some great last ditch tackles from Olly B, Olly A and Josh F, Ramsgate had a foothold back into the game. Nippy no.6 was on the scoresheet with a fine finish into the bottom corner ten minutes into the restart. Five minutes later Josh F made a fantastic one handed stop to tip the ball around the post as Ramsgate hit a free kick over the wall which looked destined to find the back of the net. Another free kick almost in the same spot five minutes later, just further out, was hit with some power and into the face of Archie T with a thud.

Ramsgate had shown more in the second half but the Harriers could of been further ahead, Archie T got to a ball first down the left flank and knocked it onto Joe and out of his reach, the keeper cleared it which came to Archie T from 30 yards out, with an open goal to aim at, he hit it first time past the far right post. At this point it was an all action game which had bought tension to the fans on the byline. Olly A made a buccaneering run down the right, and switched it to the left hand side, where Archie R laid it back across goal to Olly A, he then unselfishly with the goal to aim at, rolled the ball back across goal to Joe who took a touch and hit the ball across the goal which took a deflection and found the opposite bottom corner of the goal with a thumping finish.

The result finished at 3-1 to the Harriers after a great all round performance. Joe was awarded the man of the match after a hardworking, goalscoring performance.

Onwards and upwards as The Harriers extended their unbeaten run to six games.
