Harriers U10's put in a great performance, despite the conditions

After a morning where many games where cancelled due to the weather, the afternoon saw the U10's play one of five games that took place at Herne School on Saturday.

Harriers welcomed Folkestone Invicta Colts for their league game, both teams were keen to play despite the awful weather. We have played in colder, we've played in muddier, we've played in wetter and we've played in windier, but today was the toughest game with all 4 of those elements making a strong appearance

Both teams put in an excellent performance and there was some lovely football on display with keepers at both end making a string of excellent saves, the crossbar and post saw plenty of action in both halves too.

Kairon was excellent in goal with a string of fine saves, protected by Harley (man-of-the-match) in defence. Harry and Oliver were dominant and creative in midfield providing excellent service to the always lively Alex and Conor out on the wings. Archie scored his first goal after playing striker today and Joshua filled in various positions as everyone had their well earned rest as sub during the match.

The coaches were very pleased with the teams resiliance and perseverance, and most importantly everyone went home happy, despite being soaked through, muddy and physically tired.

Well done Harriers
